A visit to an apple orchard

There is no better way to spend a fall day then at a farm, and we visit many during this season and this year is no exception!

We finally made it out to Chudleigh's Apple Farm with some great friends! We played in the playground and went down the big slide, fed the animals, went for a hay ride and picked some delicious apples!

A visit to the Pumpkin Patch

This past weekend we celebrated Thanksgiving with Oma & Opa and Grandma & Grandpa. We could not have asked for better weather for a wonderful fun filled weekend!

On the way to Oma's & Opa's house we stopped in to Pingle Farm to pick our pumkpins - we had a such a great time running around the farm on warm fall day!

Emma found lots of pumpkins that she liked. It was a very difficult decision for her to choose just one.

Kate on the other hand would not stop looking until she found the absolute perfect pumpkin to call her own.

It was a pretty awesome time!!

What is that?

We had a bat in the house the other night. Not something that is surprising when you are renovating and have some exposed walls. I tried to get some pictures and although I missed getting some of the bat all together, I did photograph something....

Although the above picture is a little out of focus, the next shot that was taken a few seconds later is a little clearer:


For those of you who have been to our house, you know it was built in 1885, one of the first houses built in Woodbridge....there have been a few odd things that have happened, but we have never 'seen' anything.

Very first blog...

So, this is it. I have taken the plunge and taken on the task and role of Blogging. I am one of 'them' now. I hope this doesn't become tedious and boring. I know that Grandma and Grandpa will check almost daily - to see new pictures or hear funny stories, and regardless of the content will be quite happy to hear all about their 'girls'. However, being realistic we are looking at maybe a weekly update.

So here we are:


This is Kate. She is our youngest and I think this picture says it all about her personality. She is our 'spirited' one. Although fussy as a baby, now her laugh is often and quite contagious!

This is Emma. She is kind and thoughtful. She was the baby who never cried and now the child that is always helpful. Sometimes too much! It is very rare to see Emma without a smile on her face!



These are the people who mean the most to me, my husband Gerald, the girls Kate and Emma and our 2 year old Chocolate Lab Oakely, who is just about as sweet as they come. We were hiking in Algonquin park on a recent camping trip in July.

And this is me, with a silly grin on my face exhausted from my very first 5k run. My new obsession. Gerald and the girls came out to support me, in the rain. As I crossed the finish line I was covered with hugs and kisses. Much better than a completion metal!!
